‘Shoot him…’ Pakistani legend lost his temper after defeat against Bangladesh
The Pakistani team, which went on Bangladesh tour to play a 3-match ODI series, surrendered in the very first match. The Pakistan team was reduced to just 114 runs in front of the storm of Nahid Rana (5 wickets) at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur. Faheem Ashraf scored the most runs for the team. Faheem Ashraf, who came at number eight, scored 37 runs in 47 balls, due to which Pakistan could cross the 100-run mark. However, this was not enough to avoid an embarrassing defeat.
Bangladesh easily achieved the target of 115 runs by losing 2 wickets in 15.1 overs. After this crushing defeat of Pakistan, former cricketer Basit Ali has strongly criticized the team management. He questioned the team’s strategy and said that whoever had asked to score at least 60 runs in the powerplay should be shot.

Head coach Mike Hesson targeted
Basit Ali criticized head coach Mike Hesson through gestures and said that he has not played cricket and just hands over a paper. Didn’t he see the circumstances? Taking aim at Mike Hesson, Basit said, ‘First of all shoot the guy who asked him to score at least 60 runs in the powerplay. He never played cricket on the field. He just hands over a paper. Didn’t he see what the conditions were like here? Didn’t he know that India had also lost in Bangladesh?

4 players made their debut
Pakistan entered this match with 4 debutant players. Basit Ali termed the decision of giving debut to so many players simultaneously as wrong. He also took a dig at ‘young players need time’. He said, ‘The debate that youth need time should be ended. When a youth comes to world cricket, he comes prepared and makes an impact. Our players have to understand that this is not a local club’s ground but an international venue.
Kamran Akmal compared with the club team
Former wicketkeeper batsman Kamran Akmal also described the performance of the Pakistan team as shameful. He even compared the team captained by Shaheen Shah Afridi to a club team. On the team’s poor performance, he said, ‘I felt as if one team was an international team and the other was a club team, which was playing practice matches before the World Cup. I say honestly, this kind of batting does not happen even in club cricket. Even club players don’t play that badly.
