Indian citizen runs away after killing his wife in America, government announces reward of 1 million dollars
New York: America’s Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has announced a reward of US $ 1 million for information about an Indian citizen accused of allegedly murdering his wife. Earlier, a reward of US$ 2.5 lakh was announced on this accused. Bhadreshkumar Chetanbhai Patel (35) is accused of killing his wife Palak Patel (21) by stabbing her multiple times with a knife in Hanover, Maryland on April 12, 2015. This incident happened in the shop where both of them worked.
Investigators believe Patel stabbed his wife multiple times in the back room of the store late one night and then fled through the back door. The accused was last seen in Newark area of New Jersey. Bhadreshkumar is included in the FBI’s list of “10 most wanted criminals”. The federal agency on Tuesday announced that a reward of US $ 1 million will now be given to anyone who helps in the arrest of the accused. Initially the FBI had announced a reward of one lakh dollars for information about Patel, which was later increased to $2.5 lakh.
