Ather Rizta And 450S Electric Scooters Get Rs. 20,000 Discounts
Ather Energy has rolled out a fresh set of discounts for March 2026, offering total benefits of up to Rs 20,000 on its electric scooter line-up. The price cuts apply to both the family-focused Rizta and the performance-oriented 450 Series. With the financial year closing and a crucial government subsidy set to expire, the company is using direct financial incentives to close more sales before the end of the month.
The timing of these price adjustments is largely driven by the impending end of the PM E-Drive Scheme. This government initiative currently provides a flat Rs 5,000 cash subsidy on electric two-wheelers, but it is scheduled to conclude on March 31, 2026. Ather is pushing buyers to combine this outgoing state subsidy with its own dealership offers to maximize savings.
Complete Offer Breakup
The Rs 20,000 total benefit is not a flat cash reduction. It is structured across three separate financial components. The largest chunk comes via a credit card discount worth Rs 10,000, which depends on the buyer using specific banking partners for the transaction. There is a straightforward direct cash discount of Rs 6,500 applied to the ex-showroom price. Finally, the company is throwing in a complimentary extended components warranty valued at Rs 3,500.

Applying these benefits drastically changes the final acquisition cost. The entry-level Rizta S is now available at an effective price of Rs 1,04,758 ex-showroom in Mumbai. The sportier 450S model sees its effective sticker price drop to Rs 1,13,100 ex-showroom in Mumbai. These figures make the scooters far more competitive against heavily localized rivals in the high-speed electric segment.
Why The Warranty Matters

The Rizta represents Ather’s major push into the practical, comfort-oriented scooter segment, heavily prioritizing seat space and storage over outright acceleration. For buyers looking at daily school runs and grocery duties, the Rizta S at just under Rs 1.05 lakh becomes a very strong alternative to traditional petrol scooters. On the other hand, the 450S retains the sharp handling and aggressive motor mapping that the brand originally built its reputation on. Getting the 450S closer to the Rs 1.10 lakh mark keeps it relevant for younger buyers who prioritize performance.
The inclusion of the extended components warranty is a smart addition to the package. Electric scooter buyers consistently cite long-term reliability and battery replacement costs as primary concerns. While it accounts for Rs 3,500 of the total discount value, the extended coverage provides critical financial protection for major electrical parts beyond the standard factory warranty period. This directly addresses the ownership anxiety that often prevents traditional petrol scooter owners from making the switch to electric.
The March Deadline Rush
The electric two-wheeler market remains highly sensitive to upfront acquisition costs. Since the Rs 5,000 PM E-Drive subsidy is a direct benefit that lowers the final on-road price, its removal next month will effectively make all electric scooters more expensive overnight. Ather is using this deadline as a natural sales trigger, pushing undecided buyers to finalize their purchases right now.
The offers are available across all Ather Experience Centres nationwide. However, the stock availability for specific colours and variants will dictate how quickly a dealer can deliver the vehicle. Buyers must complete the invoicing process before March 31 to qualify for both the company discount package and the outgoing government subsidy. Waiting until April means losing out on at least Rs 5,000, assuming Ather chooses to extend its own dealer benefits into the new financial year.
