Balangir-Orissa
A general meeting of Balangir District Brahmin Mahasabha was held under the chairmanship of Sabha President Pran Ballabh Tripathi at Shri Nrisingh Temple premises. Secretary Narendra Kumar Acharya read out the proceedings of the previous meeting, which were unanimously approved.
There was a detailed discussion on the free mass fasting program to be organized on 16.03.2026 and a proposal was passed to involve various social sections and distinguished persons of the city in this sacred work. Various committees were formed to conduct the fasting program smoothly. According to the current information received, information has been received about 15 Batudaharis participating in the mass fast.
Balangir District Vedic Karmakandi Pandit Mahasangh has voluntarily expressed its consent to conduct the entire fasting program. On behalf of the District Brahmin Mahasabha, gratitude was expressed to him for this great work.
On the occasion of upcoming Parshuram Jayanti, a separate committee was formed and a grand conference was organized and the installation and inauguration of the statue of Lord Shri Parashuram was also discussed. According to the Secretary, the cooperation of the District Administration and Balangir Municipal Council was also appreciated.
