Collector Dr. Gaurav Singh inspected the preparations for Raipur Literature Festival

Chhattisgarh News: With the aim of giving recognition to the rich literary and cultural tradition of Chhattisgarh across the country. Raipur Literature Festival – 2026 Will be organized from 23 to 25 January 2026 at Nava Raipur. Purkhauti Muktangan Will be done in.
The preparations for this three-day event were inspected by Collector Dr. Gaurav Singh and Commissioner Public Relations Dr. Ravi Mittal. During the inspection, he took stock of the arrangements of the main stage, stalls, venues for literary sessions, food zone, drinking water, parking, security and audience facilities and gave instructions to complete all the work on time and in a better manner.

Presence of officials and organizing committee

During the inspection, President of Chhattisgarh Sahitya Academy Mr. Shashank Sharma, Director of Culture Department Mr. Vivek Acharya, Chief Executive Officer of District Panchayat Raipur Mr. Kumar Bishwaranjan, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Mr. Vishwadeep and other members of the organizing committee were also present.

‘From Aadi to Aadi Tak’—a continuous journey of Indian literature

Central theme of Raipur Literature Festival-2026 ‘From the beginning to the beginning’ Is placed. This subject shows the journey of Indian literature from ancient tradition to modern creations.
Collector Dr. Gaurav Singh said that this festival is a confluence of literature, thought and culture and it should be organized in such a way that every visitor gets a safe, simple and memorable experience.

The Collector said that active participation of children, youth, teachers, writers and common readers will be ensured in this event. He said that the main objective of this festival is to connect the new generation with literature and culture.

Nava Raipur will become a center of literature and art for three days

During the festival, Purkhauti Muktangan will become the center of literary dialogues, book launches, discussions, cultural programs and art exhibitions. This event is being considered an important step towards establishing Chhattisgarh firmly on the national literary map.

Writers and thinkers from across the country will participate

Famous litterateurs, poets, writers, journalists, thinkers and young creators from different parts of the country will participate in Raipur Literature Festival – 2026.
The program will feature open dialogues and discussions on contemporary topics along with literary sessions.

Children and youth will get an open platform

The special thing about this festival is that children and youth will be given a special platform in it.
Books based on poems and stories of school children of Raipur district will be released. There will also be platforms like open mic, where youth can present their creations.
More than 4,000 youth have registered so far and this number is continuously increasing.

Grand book fair will be the center of attraction

A big book fair with about 40 stalls will be organized during the festival. Books from major publishers across the country will be available in it. This fair will provide an opportunity for direct communication between writers and readers.

‘Chanakya’ drama and glimpse of folk culture

Staging of the play ‘Chanakya’ will be a special attraction in the Raipur Literature Festival. Apart from this, the cultural heritage of the state will be shown through folk dance, folk songs and Chhattisgarhi cultural presentations.

Kavi Sammelan and Dialogue Session

Kavi Sammelan will be organized in the presence of renowned poets, where the audience will be able to enjoy literature. Along with this, there will also be dialogue sessions with journalists, thinkers and social workers.
