The heat has started hurting in different states of the country in March itself. Even in Delhi the heat is making one sweat in the afternoon. However, according to the Meteorological Department, there may be a change in the weather of UP-Punjab including Delhi after three days. There is a possibility of rain with thunder in the morning on this day. At the same time, on Thursday i.e. today, the maximum temperature of Delhi is expected to be around 36 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to be 18 degrees Celsius.

According to IMD, the weather may also change in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh between March 14 and 16. Light rain with thunderstorms and strong winds are expected at many places in these states. Due to this the temperature may drop by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius.

There is a possibility of rain and snowfall in different areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand between March 12 and 17. According to the Meteorological Department, rain with thunderstorms is expected at some places. Strong winds can blow at a speed of 30 to 50 kilometers per hour. Apart from this, there is also a possibility of hailstorm at some places in Himachal Pradesh.

Heavy rain alert in Northeast India

There may be rain and thundershowers in the northeastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya during March 12 to 17. A warning of heavy rain has been issued in some areas of Assam and Meghalaya between March 13 and 15. There is also a possibility of strong winds blowing at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour in these areas.

Weather will change in Central and Eastern India also

Light to moderate rain may also occur in Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, West and East Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Odisha in the coming days. According to the Meteorological Department, the effects of rain and strong winds can be seen in these areas also.

Heat wave alert in many districts of Gujarat

The effect of extreme heat is currently being seen in many districts of Gujarat. Orange alert has been issued in view of the heat wave situation in Surendranagar and Rajkot districts. According to Meteorological Department officials, in recent days the temperature has been recorded much higher than normal at many places. The maximum temperature recorded in Diu on Tuesday was 41.3 degrees Celsius, which is the highest temperature so far in the month of March. Apart from this, the temperature has reached around 40 degrees Celsius in many cities including Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Vadodara and Surat.

On Tuesday, moderate rain was recorded in the plains including Srinagar, while snowfall occurred in the higher reaches like Keran, Machil, Gurez and Sonamarg. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of cloudy sky in the valley and rain or snowfall at some places in the next 24 hours.

Even in Rajasthan, the temperature is being recorded much higher than normal in the month of March. The maximum temperature in many parts of the state has reached between 36 to 40 degrees Celsius. Recently the temperature in Barmer was recorded at 40.6 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, due to the effect of a new western disturbance on March 14 and 15, there may be thunderstorms and light rain in some parts of the state, due to which the temperature is likely to drop by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius.
