Congress leader wrote a letter to CM

Former Kalapipal MLA Kunal Chaudhary has said in a letter to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav that at present the work of harvesting wheat and other crops is in full swing in many districts of the state including Kalapipal assembly constituency. At many places, harvested crops are kept in the fields, due to which the risk of fire has increased. He has said that incidents of fire in fields are increasing continuously due to rising temperatures and sparking in electrical lines. Due to this, the hard work of the farmers gets destroyed within a few minutes and they have to suffer losses worth lakhs of rupees. As an example, he mentioned Tilawad village, where in a recent fire incident, about 100 bighas of wheat crop was burnt to ashes. This incident ruined the year-long hard work of the farmers and they had to suffer huge financial losses.

Demand to shut down agricultural power supply during day time

In view of these circumstances, the Congress leader has urged the Chief Minister to issue orders to temporarily shut down agricultural power supply from 9 am to 5 pm, keeping in mind the safety of farmers’ crops, so that incidents of fire caused by sparking in power lines can be prevented. He expressed hope that the state government will take quick decisions in the interest of farmers and issue necessary instructions in this regard and will take concrete steps to protect the hard work of farmers.
