The second match of the 3-match ODI series is being played between Pakistan and Bangladesh today (13 March). The Pakistani team, which was embarrassed by being all out for 114 runs in the first match of the series, has made an excellent start in this match. 20 year old Maaz Sadaqat made a great start for the Pakistan team by scoring 75 runs in 46 balls. This left-handed opener hit 6 fours and 5 sixes in his innings. He along with Sahibzada Farhan made a partnership of 103 runs in 12.3 overs.

Pakistan got a new star

Maaz Sadaqat made his ODI International debut in the last match itself. In his first international match, he scored 18 runs in 28 balls. After Pakistan’s crushing defeat, former cricketer Basit Ali had criticized the young players including Maaz Sadaqat. Apart from Maaz Sadaqat, 3 more players had debuted in that match. Basit Ali had said that the decision to debut so many players simultaneously was wrong. Basit Ali had said, ‘This debate that youth needs time should be ended. When a youth comes to world cricket, he comes prepared and makes an impact. Our players have to understand that this is not a local club’s ground but an international venue.

Maz Sadakad, in his second match, replied to Basit Ali with the bat and hit fifty in 31 balls. Maaz Sadakat set a good platform for Pakistan before being dismissed by Bangladesh captain Mehdi Hasan Miraz. Now it remains to be seen what score the Pakistani team can reach.
