Weather may worsen in Bihar, IMD issues alert of rain and storm

Patna. The weather patterns are changing rapidly in Bihar. While the scorching heat was troubling people till a few days ago, now people have got relief due to cloud cover and rain in many districts. On Thursday, some light and some good rain was seen in different areas of the state. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has advised to remain alert for the coming days and has expressed the possibility of strong wind along with rain in many districts.

Yellow alert issued in these districts

At present, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for five districts of the state. The weather is likely to be more affected in Araria, Kishanganj, Madhepura, Purnia and Katihar. According to the department, clouds may thunder and heavy rain may also occur in these areas. Also, the wind speed is likely to reach around 30 to 40 kilometers per hour.

Due to this the weather changed

According to meteorologists, the main reason for change in weather in the state is increased moisture in the atmosphere. Along with the winds coming from the western direction, moisture from the Bay of Bengal is also reaching Bihar. When heat and moisture meet, clouds form rapidly, causing rain. For this reason, light to moderate rain is being recorded in many districts. The effect of clouds is also being seen in the capital Patna for the last two days.

Next three days may be important

The Meteorological Department estimates that the weather may remain like this in many parts of the state till March 16. Especially in North and East Bihar, the impact of rain and strong winds can be seen more. The reasons behind this are being said to be the moisture coming from the Bay of Bengal and a weak trough formed in the atmosphere.

There will be a slight drop in temperature

A slight drop in temperature may also be recorded due to rain and clouds. This is likely to provide some relief to people from the heat. However, the Meteorological Department has advised people to be careful during the changing weather and keep an eye on the latest information related to the weather.
