2 Indians Killed, 10 Injured In Drone Attack In Muscat: Two Indians killed, 10 injured in Iran’s drone attack in Sohar, Muscat, Foreign Ministry informed

New Delhi. Two Indian citizens have been killed in Iran’s drone attack today in Sohar city of Muscat, while 11 people have been injured, out of which 10 are Indians. Giving this information, Asim Mahajan, Additional Secretary (Gulf) of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, said that 5 of the injured have been discharged after first aid while 5 other Indian citizens are admitted, no one is seriously injured. He expressed condolences on the death of Indian citizens and also told that our mission is in touch with Indian citizens, local authorities and every possible effort is being made to help our people.

On the other hand, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, while talking to journalists, said that yesterday on Thursday, our Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to the President of Iran, Dr. Masoud Pejeshkian. During this, the Prime Minister highlighted our priorities regarding the safety and welfare of Indian citizens. The PM also mentioned the importance of India’s energy needs and transit of materials.

The Prime Minister expressed deep concern over the situation in the Middle East and made India’s stand clear that we should move forward through dialogue and diplomacy so that this issue and the conflict there can be resolved as soon as possible. Apart from this, Randhir Jaiswal said that in the last few days, 170 Indian citizens have crossed the land border and entered Armenia from Iran. Many of them have returned to India and others will return to India in the next few days through commercial flights available from Armenia to India.
