Ruckus over Monalisa’s marriage: Father requested to return home, made this demand from CM Mohan Yadav
Khargon. The father of Monalisa Bhosle, the girl who rose to fame during the Prayagraj Kumbh Mela last year, has appealed to Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav for the safe return of his daughter home after marrying a Muslim man in Kerala. Monalisa Bhosale (18), a resident of Maheshwar city and belonging to the nomadic Pardhi community, got married to a man named Farman Khan in a temple in Kerala on Wednesday in the presence of some Kerala ministers.
Talking to journalists here after returning from Kerala, Monalisa’s father Jaisingh Bhosle said that Monalisa has become a victim of ‘Love Jihad’. Jaisingh Bhosle said, “My daughter has earned name in the entire country. I request Chief Minister Mohan Yadav to bring Monalisa back safely to Madhya Pradesh. She has been deceived by a Muslim youth Farman Khan. This is a case of love jihad.”
He said that he knew that his daughter was acting in films and wanted to make a name for herself in this profession. He said, “I was told that my daughter is acting in two films. She herself said that some people are teaching her acting and dancing. They said that they will train her so that she can work in films in the future. I did not know that something like this would happen.”
Meanwhile, Hindu Jagran Manch officials Sameer Mahule and Bhupendra Chauhan said that efforts will be made to convince Monalisa to return home. Monalisa, while addressing a press conference in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala on Thursday, had said that her marriage with a Muslim man was as per her choice and as per Hindu customs.
Monalisa had rejected these allegations by objecting to naming this relationship as love jihad. Monalisa, the eldest of four siblings, said that her parents wanted her to marry her aunt’s son, but she opposed it. She said that her father was angry with her.
