Ujjain: A shocking incident in Ujjain city of Madhya Pradesh has shocked everyone. Here a 25-year-old youth stole undergarments from a neighboring woman. Police arrested him on the basis of CCTV footage.
During interrogation, the accused told that he loved the woman one-sidedly and had also got her name tattooed on his chest. This matter remains in the headlines.
CCTV footage revealed the secret
The incident took place in Dhachan Bhawan area of Chimanganj Mandi police station area. Clothes were drying on a rope outside the woman’s house. The woman suspected that her undergarments were missing several times. The family checked the nearby CCTV cameras.
The footage showed that the accused Amit Malviya (25) entered the courtyard of the house in broad daylight. He just picked up the woman’s undergarments, put them in his jeans pocket and walked away quietly without touching the rest of the clothes.
The family filed a police complaint
Seeing the video, the woman and her family immediately lodged a complaint at Chimanganj Mandi police station. The footage was submitted as evidence. The police identified the accused, who was a resident of the same area and a neighbor of the woman. Soon Amit was arrested.
One-sided love confessed during interrogation
During police interrogation, Amit confessed that he loved the woman. He said, "I love him." Investigation revealed that the accused had also got the woman’s name tattooed on his chest. Police said that the accused was already married, but his behavior was due to one-sided love.
Legal action and investigation ongoing
The police have registered a case against the accused under relevant sections of the Indian Justice Code (BNS). Chimanganj Mandi police station in-charge said that an in-depth investigation of the matter is going on. This incident is an example of strictness against such activities in the society. At present the accused is in the custody of the police.
