Milan continue work on Tomori renewal: the latest
Discussions first opened as far back as August or September, with reports via MilanNews24 and despite Tomori’s current deal not expiring until 2027, Milan are eager to reward one of their defensive cornerstones and ward off interest from the Premier League.
The defender himself is said to be fully committed to remaining in Milan, a city he has settled into comfortably since joining from Chelsea.
Milan director Tare driving Tomori renewal talks
Sporting director Igli Tare has been driving the negotiations, identifying Tomori as a central pillar around whom the club’s defensive future should be built.
Massimiliano Allegri is equally keen to retain him, with the former Chelsea man considered the ideal fit for the head coach’s system, intelligent, rapid in recovery and a reliable presence at the back.
Further meetings are required to finalise bonus structures and contractual clauses before any deal can be formally signed. The broad optimism from both sides, however, suggests this is a matter of when rather than if.
For a Milan side still challenging on multiple fronts, tying down one of their most consistent performers would represent an important piece of business completed well ahead of schedule.
