Material

  • 250 g paneer (cut into squares)
  • 3 tablespoons cornflour
  • 2 tablespoons of flour
  • 1 tsp red chillies
  • Salt to taste
  • Water (for batter)
  • Oil for frying

For the sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon of oil
  • 1 tsp finely chopped garlic
  • 1 green chilli (chopped)
  • 1 small onion (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp chili sauce
  • A little black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp cornflour (mixed with water)

  • Make a thick batter by mixing cornflour, flour, red chillies, salt and water in a bowl.
  • Dip paneer pieces in this batter.
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry paneer pieces until golden and crispy.
  • Heat some oil in another pan and add garlic, green chillies and onion.
  • Now add soy sauce, tomato sauce, chili sauce and black pepper.
  • Add the cornflour water mixture and allow the sauce to thicken slightly.
  • Finally add the fried paneer to the sauce and mix gently.
