Rain will give relief to Delhi, AQI also under control, has the weather of the capital changed?

New Delhi. The effect of the western disturbance active in the hilly areas was also felt in the capital on Friday. The sky remained cloudy the whole day. Although the sun came out, its heat felt a little less than usual. Perhaps due to this a drop in the maximum temperature was recorded. The weather is expected to remain more or less the same on Saturday also. There is also a possibility of rain on Sunday.

Maximum temperature recorded 32.6 degrees Celsius
On Friday, Delhi’s maximum temperature was recorded at 32.6 degrees Celsius, which is 3.7 degrees less than the normal temperature of this season. This represents a drop of three degrees compared to the previous day. The temperature on Thursday was 35.8 degrees. In contrast, the minimum temperature was recorded at 20.4 degrees Celsius, which is 5.3 degrees above normal and the highest minimum temperature so far this year and this season. The humidity level in the air remained between 25 to 86 percent.

Thunderstorm and light rain expected
The weather department has predicted that the sky will be partly cloudy on Saturday also. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be around 33 and 19 degrees Celsius respectively. However, there is a possibility of thunderstorm and light rain along with clouds on Sunday. The maximum temperature on this day is expected to be 31 degrees and the minimum temperature will be 18 degrees.

Meanwhile, Delhi’s air quality once again improved after a gap of six days on Friday. The air quality index (AQI) was recorded at 189, which has dropped below the 200 mark. This places it in the “Moderate” category. At present, there does not appear to be any immediate possibility of any major deterioration in these levels.
