Will there be Beastars Season 4? Renewed or canceled? Everything we know so far
Many anime fans anticipated Beastars when it was released on Netflix, and now they are still grieving its death after season 3 was released, although not as much as when it was announced it would not continue into season 4. The first half was released on March 7th, 2026, ending all the major arcs that had occurred throughout the entire manga, including one of the most talked-about scenes in the manga: the final confrontation between Melon, who is considered a predator, and the other main characters. Beastars was a fast-paced series, but it had action, emotion, and predator/prey tensions in a divided anthropomorphic world through Legoshi & Haru’s journey. After more than seven years, the manga ended with a very dramatic, action-packed, and emotion-filled conclusion using Studio Orange’s incredible animation.
Beastars Season 4: Renewal Status
The Beastars anime will not produce a fourth season; instead, it concluded with Season 3 (Final Season) on March 7, 2026.
Paru Itagaki was the original creator of Beastars, an anime based on a manga of the same name; Netflix & Studio Orange confirmed the Final Season will consist of two parts and will complete the series that began in 2019: Part 1 was released in December 2024/January 2025 (depending upon where you look); Part 2 premiered on Netflix on March 7, 2026.
In a statement made by multiple reliable sources including Netflix’s own Tudum site and numerous announcements at Anime Expo and other events, as well as recent newspaper articles dated March 2026, it has been confirmed that the Beastars anime ended March 7, 2026 after a 7-year run, and there has been no announcement made regarding a possible Season 4 renewal, stating clearly that it is the end of the franchise with no plans for continuation.
The majority of speculation regarding the possibility of season 4 appears to originate primarily from outdated or misleading titles referring to “season 4” and confusion regarding the split-season structure, rather than any substantive proof. However, there are numerous official sources clarifying that there will be no continuation of the Beastars anime.
Paru Itagaki has made some semi-recent teasers that suggest she may want to revisit the Beastars universe someday by creating a new manga centered around Legoshi and Haru post-episode 3.
