Reece James signs new Chelsea contract until 2032
Chelsea have secured the long-term future of their captain Reece James, who has signed a new contract with Chelsea FC that will keep him at Stamford Bridge until June 2032.
The England international confirmed the extension while expressing his deep connection with the club he has represented since his academy days. The new deal underlines Chelsea’s commitment to building their future around one of their most important players.
James, who came through the club’s youth system, has established himself as one of the best right-backs in the Premier League when fit. Despite struggling with injuries in recent seasons, the 24-year-old remains a key figure in Chelsea’s long-term project.
Speaking after signing the extension, James shared his excitement about continuing his journey with the club. “I am over the moon to have extended my contract as Chelsea means so much to me. I’ve always said I want my peak years to be here,” James said.
The defender also expressed confidence in the club’s direction and ambitions.
“I truly believe we have everything it takes to build on our previous success.”
