  • Opposition tea party on the steps of Parliament
  • Controversy due to Rahul Gandhi eating tea-biscuits
  • The incident happened during the gas shortage protest

Rahul Gandhi Tea Party: New Delhi: Currently, the second phase of the budget session is underway. This year’s conference is colored by the effects of the ongoing war in the Gulf countries on India. In most states of India, LPG gas (LPG Gas) shortage has arisen and common people have been affected. Meanwhile, the opposition has strongly criticized the government over this. The opposition protested strongly on the steps of Parliament. But Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi (Rahul Gandhi) sitting on the steps and eating tea and biscuits has created a controversy. The rulers have strongly criticized this action.

Due to the shortage of LPG gas in the country due to the war, the opposition had set up a stove in the Parliament premises. On this occasion Modi government was criticized by shouting loud slogans. Opponents have also said that this is a failure of foreign policy. Due to this, the opposition, under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, took an aggressive stance against the gas shortage. But this time Rahul Gandhi along with other opposition MPs ate tea and biscuits in the Parliament premises. After the photos and videos of this came to light, the rulers have also retaliated.

Kiran Rijiju criticized this tea party in the Parliament premises by raising the issue in the Lok Sabha. He said that if their leader (Rahul Gandhi) does not reform, other Congress members will not reform either. Today, the Lok Sabha Speaker himself repeatedly said that the situation should improve after the two-day debate on the no-confidence motion. But instead of reforming, Congress members are showing indiscipline by taking food and drinks to the Parliamentary Assembly. Congress leaders think that they can attract public attention by dramatic actions, but such actions of opposition members anger the public and hence they cannot come to power. There is no one left in the Congress party who can reason with their leader (Rahul Gandhi), because all the Congress members including their leader have behaved badly. Opposition members still have time. They should reform themselves, otherwise the public will punish them again, criticized Kiran Rijiju.

The Speaker is also upset because he is sitting in the premises of Parliament representing the country and eating tea biscuits like this. Speaker of the House Sandhya Rai also expressed displeasure at the confusion of the opposition. “This behavior of the opposition members is not appropriate. It also violates the dignity of democracy. People are watching them,” she said. “What are we teaching the youth of this country?” asked Rai. He then adjourned the House till 2 pm.
