There will be a big expansion of health services in Jharkhand, preparations to open 8 new medical colleges

Jharkhand Government: Rejecting the cut proposal during the discussion on the budget of the Health, Food Supply and Disaster Management Department in the Jharkhand Assembly on Wednesday (March 12), Health Minister Irfan Ansari explained in detail the plans and achievements of the government. He said that the aim of the government is to provide accessible, affordable and better health services to every citizen of the state. He started his address by paying tribute to Shibu Soren. After this, he targeted the opposition and said that only 9 medical colleges were opened in the last 25 years, whereas Hemant Soren’s government is working towards opening 8 new medical colleges in a year.

RIMS-2 project will start soon

Answering the questions related to RIMS-2 raised by opposition leader Babulal Marandi, Minister Irfan Ansari said that in any case the construction work will be started this year. Under this project, a big hospital complex with a capacity of 1400 beds in the first phase and 2600 beds in the second phase will be built. More than 500 undergraduate and about 1000 postgraduate seats will be available here.

8 new medical colleges will be built in the state

The Health Minister said that to strengthen the health facilities in the state, infrastructure is being expanded on a large scale. In the first phase, medical colleges will be established in Jamtara, Giridih, Dhanbad, Khunti and Seraikela-Kharsawan. In the second phase, medical colleges will be built in Godda, Sahibganj and Latehar. This will provide better opportunities for medical education to the youth of the state and will strengthen health services in rural areas.

Announcement of Hi-Tech Trauma Center and Abua Medical Store

Minister Irfan Ansari announced that 25 hi-tech trauma centers and 750 Abua medical stores will be opened in the state. Modern facilities like MRI will be provided in all medical colleges. Apart from this, for the first time, the facility of bone marrow transplant will be started in Sadar Hospital of Ranchi.

He said that the government aims to make Jharkhand an anemia free state by 2029. Besides, free ultrasound will be provided to all pregnant women and benefits of food and disaster relief schemes will be extended to the needy people.
