The new government’s ‘power formula’ fixed! Political temperature will increase after Rajya Sabha elections, who will get which post?

Bihar Politics: These days the discussion about major changes in the politics of Bihar has intensified. Speculations about Chief Minister Nitish Kumar going to Rajya Sabha have increased the political stir. A question is being raised in the political circles that if Nitish Kumar becomes active in Delhi politics, then what will be the form of the new government in Bihar and who will get the post of Chief Minister. At present, everyone’s eyes are fixed on the Rajya Sabha elections to be held on March 16.

Elections are to be held for five Rajya Sabha seats from Bihar and NDA is trying to get all the seats in its account. It is believed that it is almost certain that Nitish Kumar will go to Rajya Sabha in this election. However, the real political activities will intensify only after that.

Political turmoil may increase after Rajya Sabha elections

According to sources, the decision to send Nitish Kumar to Rajya Sabha has been taken only with his consent. In such a situation, the further political process can also proceed according to their strategy and consent. There is a possibility that the oath will be administered to the new Rajya Sabha members around the second week of April i.e. around 9th or 10th April.

In such a situation, it is believed that Nitish Kumar can resign from the post of Chief Minister and membership of the Legislative Council only after taking oath as a Rajya Sabha member. If this happens, the process of formation of a new government in Bihar may begin in the second or third week of April.

Discussion about BJP getting the post of Chief Minister

If political sources are to be believed, a possible formula for the formation of a new government is also under discussion. Under this, the post of Chief Minister can be given to Bharatiya Janata Party, while Janata Dal (U) can be given two Deputy Chief Minister posts. At present there are two Deputy Chief Ministers in Bihar and one of them, Samrat Chaudhary, is also being seen as the future leadership of BJP. However, no official announcement has been made in this regard yet.

Discussion regarding division of departments also

With the possibility of formation of a new government, discussions have also started regarding division of departments. Sources say that the Home Department may remain with BJP, while the Finance Ministry is likely to go to JDU. Currently, many important departments are with the Chief Minister, but in case of change in power, these departments can be reorganized. This will also decide the distribution of new responsibilities within the government.

Changes possible in Assembly and Council also

Political sources say that after the formation of the government, there may be changes in important posts of the House. At present, the post of Speaker of Bihar Assembly is with BJP and there is a possibility that this post will remain with it in future too. Whereas the post of Chairman in Bihar Legislative Council is still with BJP, but in the new system there is talk of giving it to JDU. With this, an attempt can be made to maintain balance within the alliance.

Allies can also get representation

A formula is also emerging regarding possible cabinet formation. According to sources, about 16 ministerial posts, including the Chief Minister, may remain with BJP, while 16 ministerial posts, including two Deputy Chief Ministers, may go to JDU. Apart from this, allied parties are also likely to get representation in the government. It is being told that Chirag Paswan’s party may get two ministerial posts, while Upendra Kushwaha and Jitan Ram Manjhi’s party may get one ministerial post each.

Nitish Kumar’s role may remain important

However, the NDA leadership seems to be exercising caution in this entire matter. The alliance leaders are avoiding giving the message that Nitish Kumar is being removed from the post. For this reason, it is being said publicly that Nitish Kumar’s role will remain important in the politics of Bihar in the future and the new government will also work under his guidance.
