The upcoming spy thriller Dhurandhar: The Revenge is already creating massive buzz at the box office. Even though full advance booking in India has not yet opened, the film has reportedly crossed ₹60 crore in worldwide advance sales, six days before its release.
Starring Ranveer Singhthe film is scheduled to hit theatres on March 19, 2026, and early trends indicate it could become one of the biggest openings in Indian cinema.
Advance Booking Update in India
Advance bookings for preview shows (premieres) of Dhurandhar: The Revenge began soon after the trailer launch by director Aditya Dhar.
Trade analysts say the film is close to breaking the premiere booking record set by ANDstarring Pawan Kalyanwhich collected about ₹25 crore from premiere shows last year.
Massive Overseas Response
The film is also performing strongly overseas, particularly in United States and Canada.
Opening weekend collections in North America are estimated at $3 million
Around $1 million has already come from premiere shows alone
Additional advance bookings from Europe, Asia, and Oceania have generated nearly $1 million
Combined with Indian preview sales, worldwide advance bookings are now approaching ₹60 crore.
Industry trackers believe the figure could cross ₹100 crore before release once regular bookings open across India.
Re-Release of the First Film Boosts Hype
To build excitement for the sequel, the original Dhurandhar has been re-released in theatres worldwide.
The first film, which grossed around ₹1300 crore globally, is now showing on 500 screens worldwide, including 250 screens in India.
This re-release is expected to further increase anticipation for the sequel.
