IBSS Judo World Cup: Strong performance of Para Judokas will be seen in the World Cup, practice started with full enthusiasm

Lucknow, Read: To prepare for the upcoming IBSS Judo World Cup, the training camp of the Indian Para Judo team started from Thursday at the Para Judo Academy in Hazratganj under the supervision of the Indian Blind and Para Judo Association. The camp was inaugurated by Association Chairman Avnish Kumar Awasthi, President Mukesh Kumar Meshram and Vice President Sudhir Halwasiya.

This training camp will continue till March 19, in which the country’s experienced and emerging para judokas will make final preparations for the World Cup by improving their technique and fitness. The presence of experienced players is expected to strengthen the team. After the conclusion of the camp, the Indian Para Judo team will leave for Tbilisi, Georgia, where Indian players will present their challenge in the IBSS Judo World Cup to be held from 19 to 26 March.

The members included in the camp are Kapil Parmar, Devendra Yadav (Madhya Pradesh), Vijendra (Haryana), Hasan Ali (Telangana), Sandeep Singh and Avidash Sharma, Dipal (Delhi), Dharamveer and Gulshan (Uttar Pradesh), Renuka Salve (Maharashtra), Deepak Rani and Kokila (Haryana). The head coach is Munawar Anzar (Lucknow), while Akram Shah and Deepak Gupta are serving as assistant coaches. Smita Sethi is present with the team as assistant member and Aditi Jain as physiotherapist.
