He said that especially, when the team captain does this, it seems even more disappointing. While giving a message to the youth, Kaif said that no matter how big the match is, even if the final of the World Cup is at stake, the players should not take any step which is against the spirit of the game.

How did the entire incident happen on the field?

This incident happened on March 13 during a match played at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka. On the fourth ball of the 39th over of Pakistan’s innings, Mohammad Rizwan played the ball of Bangladesh captain Mehdi Hasan Miraj in the direction of the bowler. While trying to catch the ball, Miraj collided with Salman Ali Aga standing at the non-striker end.

After the collision, the ball stopped there, due to which Agha gave up his intention of taking runs. He picked up the ball and started returning it to Miraj, but at the same time Miraj took the ball and hit it straight on the stumps. At that time Agha was outside the crease and after appeal the third umpire declared him run out.

Salman Ali Aga appeared angry with this decision and he also had an argument with Mehdi Hasan Miraj on the field itself. After the decision of the third umpire, Aga returned to the pavilion angrily and while leaving, he expressed his displeasure by throwing his helmet and gloves.

Talking about the match, after losing the toss and batting first, Pakistan scored 274 runs in 50 overs. For the team, Maaz Sadaqat played important innings of 75 runs, Salman Ali Agha played 64 runs and Mohammad Rizwan played important innings of 44 runs. The target was changed due to rain and Bangladesh got a revised target of 243 runs in 32 overs under the DLS rule. However, the entire Bangladesh team was limited to 114 runs and Pakistan won the match by a huge margin of 128 runs.
