Tezzbuzz Desk- Indian team’s opener Abhishek Sharma visited Mata Vaishno Devi after winning the T20 World Cup 2026 title. Abhishek led India to victory in the final match against New Zealand by playing a explosive inning of 52 runs in just 21 balls.

Abhishek has shared pictures on his social media account Instagram, in which he is seen with folded hands in a traditional look. He wrote in the caption, “Jai Mata Di.”

Before the final, Abhishek Sharma’s performance looked a bit weak. He scored only 89 runs in the first 7 innings. Many questions were being raised regarding his continuously declining form. Despite this, captain Suryakumar Yadav and the team management continuously supported Abhishek.

In the final match, Abhishek along with Sanju Samson made the match one-sided by adding 98 runs in 7.1 overs for the first wicket. In his innings of 52 runs, he hit 6 fours and 3 sixes.

The Indian team won the T20 World Cup title for a record third time under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav. With this victory, India also became the first country to win the T20 World Cup on home soil. Additionally, India became the first team in the world to defend the T20 World Cup title.

After his brilliant performance in the World Cup, Abhishek Sharma will now be seen playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2026. Even in IPL 2025, Abhishek scored 439 runs in 14 matches, which included one century and two half-centuries. However, Sunrisers Hyderabad could win only 6 matches and could not reach the playoffs.

Both Abhishek’s form and confidence were seen in the T20 World Cup 2026, due to which the expectations of his fans and team have increased in the upcoming tournaments.
