Bihar New Governor: Syed Ata Hasnain has taken oath as the new Governor of Bihar. High Court Chief Justice K. Vinod Chandran administered this oath. The swearing-in ceremony was organized at Bihar Lok Bhavan (Raj Bhavan) on Saturday morning. On this occasion, many ministers and officials including Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, both Deputy CMs Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha participated. To make the ceremony special and dignified, all necessary preparations had already been made by the administration.

Who is Syed Ata Hasnain?

Syed Ata Hasnain is a retired Lieutenant General of the Indian Army. He has served in the army for about 40 years. During this period, he worked in many important and sensitive areas of the country. His military career is considered quite impressive. While in the army, he performed many important responsibilities and served in different fields.

Important role in Kashmir

During his military career, he also held important responsibilities in Jammu and Kashmir. Between 2012 and 2014, he was the Commander of Chinar Corps (15 Corps) based in Srinagar. During this period, he led anti-terrorism operations and took many steps to strengthen the security system in the area. His leadership is considered very important from security and strategic point of view.

Initiative for youth

While living in Kashmir, he not only focused on security but also on winning the trust of the local people. He promoted the policy of “Hearts and Minds” i.e. winning the hearts and trust of the people. The objective of this policy was to connect the local youth with the mainstream. Even after retiring from the army, Syed Ata Hasnain remained active in public life. He was made a member of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). The work of this organization is to prepare and implement policies and plans related to disaster management in the country.

Syed Ata Hasnain has also served as the Chancellor of the University of Kashmir. His contribution in the field of education and policy making is also considered important. Now as the Governor of Bihar, he is expected to play an important role in the administrative and social development of the state on the basis of his experience and leadership abilities.
