India Iran Talks: PM Modi talks to Iranian President Pezeshkian amid Middle East tension

Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has discussed the serious situation in the region with Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezheshkian. During the telephone conversation, Modi reiterated India’s commitment to peace and stability and called for dialogue and diplomacy to restore peace. He expressed deep concern over the escalating tension, loss of civilian lives and damage to civilian infrastructure. He said the safety and security of Indian citizens, as well as the need for unhindered movement of goods and energy, are India’s top priorities.
