Bcci Naman Awards 2026 Lifetime Achievement Honors For Rahul Dravid Roger Binny And Mithali Raj

The annual BCCI Naman Awards, organized by the Board of Control for Cricket in India to honor the legends of Indian cricket, will be held on March 15 in New Delhi. The ceremony will honor players and officials who have excelled in international, domestic and age-group cricket during the 2024-25 season.

The biggest highlight of the ceremony will be the Lifetime Achievement Awards given to three great cricketing personalities. Former India captain and coach Rahul Dravid and 1983 World Cup-winning team member Roger Binny were honored with the prestigious Colonel C.K. Naidu will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Indian women’s cricket great Mithali Raj will be given the BCCI Lifetime Achievement Award in the women’s category.

Rahul Dravid’s international cricket career has been very brilliant. He scored more than 24,000 international runs in his career and later took Indian cricket to new heights as a coach. Under his guidance, India won the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup title in 2024, making his contribution both on and off the field considered extremely impressive.

Roger Binny was a key member of the 1983 World Cup-winning Indian team and became the leading wicket-taker in that tournament. After his cricket career, he also served Indian cricket as a coach, selector and administrator. He was also the President of BCCI from 2022 to 2025.

Mithali Raj is counted among the most successful batsmen of Indian women’s cricket. She has scored 7,805 runs in Women’s One Day International cricket, which is the highest figure till date. In her career spanning more than two decades, she led India to the Women’s World Cup finals twice and played an important role in giving a new identity to women’s cricket in the country.

Another special thing about this time’s ceremony is that for the first time, India’s five ICC trophy winning teams will also be specially honoured. This is being seen as a historic achievement for Indian cricket.

At the ceremony, many prestigious awards will also be given to players who have excelled in domestic cricket. Among these, Smriti Mandhana will be given the Women’s International Cricketer of the Year, Shubman Gill will be given the Polly Umrigar Award in the men’s category, while N Sri Charni will be given the Best International Debut award in the women’s category.

Players who have performed brilliantly in tournaments like Ranji Trophy, Cooch Behar Trophy and Vijay Merchant Trophy will also be honored for their best performance in domestic cricket. This annual function of BCCI is considered to be a celebration of the achievements of Indian cricket, in which an effort is made to carry forward the rich tradition of cricket by honoring the legends of the game to the rising stars.
