There will be big relief on LPG: Shivalik and Nanda are bringing 92700 metric tons of gas.
New Delhi. The impact of the ongoing conflict in West Asia is becoming visible across the world. The biggest problem is being seen with diesel and petrol as well as LPG. There is a crisis of LPG in India also, due to which people are facing a lot of problems. Amidst all this, the government is taking important steps towards ensuring the supply of LPG in the country.

While holding a press briefing in Delhi on Saturday regarding LPG, the government informed that some ships which had left for India have successfully passed through the Strait of Hormuz. 2 Indian ships (Shivalik and Nanda Devi) have transited the strait and are now heading towards Indian ports.
Each of these two vessels is loaded with more than 46,000 MT of LPG, ensuring a total supply of 92,700 MT of LPG. He said many Indian ships were still on standby in the Gulf region. India remains in touch with all concerned countries to ensure safe and uninterrupted movement of ships. This effort is being made to maintain India’s energy security.
At the same time, Sujata Sharma, Joint Secretary (Marketing and Oil Refinery) of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas said, “There has been a lot of discussion about commercial cylinders, after which it was decided that some LPG should be given to the commercial consumers and talks have also been held with the state government in this regard… and the distribution of commercial cylinders has started in about 29 states and union territories and they are being provided to the customers.
