Vivaah fame Amrita Rao, 44, flaunts wrinkles; Salman Khan, Sonali Bendre and Hum Saath Saath Hain gang reunite at Eesha Barjatya’s reception
The wedding reception of filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya’s daughter Eesha Barjatya and her husband Abhishek was held in Mumbai. It was a reunion of sorts for the cast and crew of Hum Aapke Hain Koun and the Hum Saath Saath Hain gang. From Salman Khan to Sonali Bendre to Amrita Rao, Aamir Khan, and Junaid Khan, several stars attended the celebration.
The reception also saw the graceful presence of legendary actress Rekha, along with Sonali Bendre, Neena Gupta, and veteran actress Poonam Dhillon, who attended with her daughter Paloma Thakeria. Rakesh Roshan, actor Boman Irani, singer Shaan, musician Himesh Reshammiya, and actors Ashutosh Rana and Renuka Shahane, among others, attended the ceremony.
Salman Khan made a stylish entry with tight security around him. The actor shares a long professional association with Barjatya. Their journey together began with the iconic film Maine Pyar Kiya. Salman Khan wore a blue suit.
Aamir Khan also attended the reception with his son Junaid Khan. Actress Rani Mukerji looked stunning in a pistachio-coloured outfit, looking like cassata ice cream.
Veteran actors Anil Kapoor and Anupam Kher posed together for the paparazzi at the venue.
Film producer Boney Kapoor, Anil Kapoor’s elder brother, was also present at the celebration. Amrita Rao, who rose to fame with Vivaah, looked stunning in a blue traditional outfit.
For Eesha Barjatya’s wedding reception, Amrita opted for a royal blue embroidered brocade lehenga from the label Lashkaraa, valued at ₹17,400 on the brand’s website.
The outfit featured a plunging V-neck choli heavily adorned with intricate silver floral embroidery and sequin work. It was paired with a voluminous lehenga skirt crafted from rich blue silk brocade. The lehenga featured a traditional floral pattern and a broad, ornate silver border, adding a touch of heavy craftsmanship to the ethnic ensemble. The lehenga-choli came with a blue dupatta with a matching embroidered border, elegantly pinned to one side to allow the detailed lehenga to take centre stage.
Netizens had mixed reactions to Amrita’s look. Fans were quick to point out that the 44-year-old actor looked almost identical to her character in the 2006 classic Vivah, while many said that she has aged.
A user wrote, “Age effect..”.
The next one asked, “What has happened to her face?”
“She was beautiful before, and she is beautiful today,” one fan remarked, echoing the sentiments of hundreds.
Another Instagram user pointed out Amrita’s glow, saying, “Natural beauty without surgeries. She’s exactly the same.”
One particularly relatable comment read, “And after 20 years, we look older than her. How is this possible?”
