Mumbai, 14 March 2026: The 19th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is going to start from March 28. The opening match of the tournament will see a fierce battle between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Generally IPL means dominance of batsmen and chaos on the field. If we look at the history till now, there are 5 batsmen who have given the bowlers sleepless nights by scoring runs with the highest strike rate.

In this list, England’s wicketkeeper-batsman Phil Salt is at the top position with the highest strike rate of 175. Despite playing only 34 matches so far, Solt has scored 1,056 runs, which includes 10 half-centuries. Behind him is all-rounder Andre Russell. Russell has scored 2,651 runs at a strike rate of 174.

Australian opening batsman Travis Head is at third place in this list. Head has played 38 matches so far with a strike rate of 170, in which he has scored one century and 8 half-centuries. After this, Heinrich Klaasen, the strong base of Sunrisers Hyderabad, comes at the fourth position. Klaas has scored 1,480 runs in 49 matches at a strike rate of 169.

The name of former West Indies captain Nicholas Pooran is at fifth place in this list. With a long experience of 90 IPL matches, Puran has scored runs at an aggressive strike rate of 168. Cricket experts will keep a special eye on these five batsmen in the new season starting from March 28.
