Election tension in Kolkata: Violent clash between BJP-TMC workers, many injured in stone pelting
Kolkata. The heat in politics has increased due to PM Modi’s visit to Kolkata before the assembly elections. Meanwhile, a fierce clash took place between BJP and Trinamool Congress (TMC) workers in Girish Park area. During this, both the sides threw stones at each other, due to which many people were injured. After the incident, tension spread in the area and the police started taking action to bring the situation under control.
Minister Shashi Panja made serious allegations-
West Bengal Women and Child Development and Social Welfare Minister Shashi Panja accused BJP workers of pelting bricks and stones outside her house. He said that more than 50 TMC workers were injured in this clash.
Attack on BJP workers-
The minister alleged that BJP workers tore the boycott banner and attacked TMC supporters. He said that police personnel were also injured in this violence. Shashi Panja said that such lawlessness was never seen before in Kolkata.
