‘Love Island USA’ confirmed for season 8

Love Island is officially coming back, with NBCUniversal streamer renewing the hit reality series for season eight.

The upcoming new season is set for a summer premiere in June.

The decision for its renewal doesn’t come as a surprise as its seventh season of the U.S. adaptation of the British show became the show’s most watched original season, surpassing 18 billion minutes viewed.

As per Nielsen, the reality dating series was the number 1 streaming original in the United States the week of its finale and remained the top streaming reality titles for six consecutive weeks.

With former Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix as host, the show returns from Fiji on June 2, matching last year’s release date.

Love Island USA first debuted in 2019, after the massive success of the U.K’s Love Island.

The format brings together a group of single contestants who are trying to find love while living in a villa in Fiji.
