There are also long queues in front of gas agencies in Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, in Hapur district, the police administration has taken massive action against illegal storage of gas cylinders. A team of Local Administration and Supply Department raided a house on Wednesday night and seized 32 LPG cylinders. It had 18 full and 14 empty cylinders. Locals along with the police also expressed surprise due to this.
Regarding this hoarding and black market, District Supply Officer Seema Balian said that special teams have been formed in all the tehsils of the district as per the instructions of the District Magistrate. These teams are constantly patrolling and taking strict action against black market and illegal storage of gas cylinders.

32 cylinders seized from a house
As part of the operation, the team received information that a person had found a large quantity of cylinders stored in his house. The team raided the spot around 9 pm on Wednesday. During investigation, 18 full and 14 empty cylinders were found in the house. Officials inquired about the cylinders, but after not getting satisfactory answers, all 32 cylinders were seized. According to the supply department, illegal storage of gas cylinders is against the rules. A case has been registered against the concerned person under the Essential Commodities Act and further action has been initiated.

Running for LPG cylinders
Due to this war, a rush has also started for LPG cylinders in Hapur. The godowns of the gas agency are getting crowded by customers asking for gas cylinders. The situation is so serious that the police have to intervene to control the crowd. Bharat Gas is located in Tiala village in Hapur. On Thursday morning, a rush of customers asking for domestic gas cylinders started coming here. By 10 am, the crowd had swelled, leading to chaos with long queues outside the godown.
