The Yogi government is continuously taking big steps towards making the state a major hub of innovation and startups. In this series, it has been announced to establish U-Hub in Lucknow and Gautam Buddha Nagar through Budget 2026-27.
Yogi government believes that this initiative will strengthen the startup culture in the state as well as provide new momentum to technology-based enterprises. This hub is planned to be developed on the lines of the leading innovation centers of the country. For this, a provision of Rs 100 crore has been made in the budget.
The aim has been to develop this U-Hub as a world-class innovation center like the innovation centers established in Telangana, Odisha, Kerala and Karnataka. U-Hub aims to provide a powerful platform for innovation and new ideas of the youth.
Through this, startups and entrepreneurs will be provided the necessary resources, guidance and technical support to convert their ideas into businesses. This will promote entrepreneurship in the state and will also create new employment opportunities for the youth.
According to the government’s plan, this hub will be developed on plug and play model, where startups will get support at every stage from the initial stage till their growth. Incubation, acceleration, research, development and cooperation programs will be conducted here. Besides, startups will be provided with expert mentorship, opportunities to connect with investors and modern technical facilities.
Experts believe that the establishment of U-Hub will promote innovation based industries in Uttar Pradesh. This will increase the possibility of setting up new startups in Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, Fintech, Healthtech and other technology based areas. With this, the youth will get an opportunity to move towards entrepreneurship instead of looking for traditional jobs.
A provision of Rs 100 crore has been made for this project in the budget. The government believes that this initiative will give new energy to the startup ecosystem in the state and will accelerate the expansion of technology-based industries.
According to experts, U-Hub will help in connecting national and international investors with the startup ecosystem of Uttar Pradesh. This will increase investment in the state, new companies will be established and employment opportunities will also be created on a large scale for the youth.
