Breaking: Iranian missiles detected over Israel

Air raid sirens were activated across several parts of Israel after Iranian ballistic missiles were detected and launched toward the countrymarking another escalation in the ongoing conflict between Israel, the United States and Iranwhich is now entering its third week since it began on February 28.

The missile launches reportedly occurred in multiple waves beginning around 2:30 a.m. local timewith alerts sounding across central Israel including areas near Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Holon, Ramla and Shoham.

Emergency services responded to several incidents involving falling shrapnel and interceptor debriswhich caused minor damage and fires in buildings, vehicles and open areas. According to Belly David Adomat least two people — an elderly man and woman — were lightly injured in Holon.

Israel activates multi-layered missile defense

Israel’s air defense network, including Iron Dome, David’s Slingand Arrow missile defense systemintercepted most of the incoming missiles, according to initial reports.

However, some debris and partial impacts triggered fires in Tel Aviv, Holon and Ramlawith emergency teams deployed across affected areas.

Reports also suggested that some Iranian missiles may have used cluster-type warheadsdesigned to spread fragments across a wider area in an attempt to overwhelm interception systems.

Strikes earlier targeted Iranian sites

The missile barrage followed heavy US–Israeli airstrikes earlier in the day targeting multiple sites in Iranincluding military infrastructure and industrial facilities in Isfahanaccording to reports from Iranian media.

Those strikes reportedly hit military installations linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corpsas well as industrial areas suspected of supporting Iran’s missile and defense programs.

Rising pressure on air defenses

Officials and analysts have warned that the sustained missile exchanges are placing increasing strain on Israel’s interceptor supplieseven as production and resupply efforts continue.

The latest developments highlight the widening regional escalation as both sides continue to exchange strikes across the Middle East.

Further updates are expected as the situation develops.
