Singapore’s Changi has been voted the best airport in Asia as part of leading travel magazine DestinAsian’s Readers’ Choice Awards 2026.
“Changi shows what a seamless travel experience can be like, with automated check-in and immigration gates, calming spaces adorned with modern art installations and tropical greenery, 24/7 movie theaters, plenty of dining options, and much more besides,” the magazine wrote, also mentioning the airport’s 40-meter indoor waterfall.
Changi became one of the first airports globally to implement passport-free immigration clearance across all terminals, allowing travelers to clear immigration in as little as 10 seconds.
Hong Kong Airport came in second, followed by Thailand’s Suvarnabhumi Airport and Indonesia’s Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
Singapore Airlines was also named the best airline in the region in the ranking, followed by Hong Kong’s Cathay Pacific.
