India joins in condemning Pak attack in Afghanistan, what did New Delhi say?
On Friday, Pakistan launched new airstrikes in multiple provinces including Kabul, Kandahar, Afghanistan. India condemned the incident. New Delhi has made it clear that this is yet another example of Pak aggression.
External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said in a statement on Saturday that India strongly condemns Pakistan’s attack on Afghan territory. Many innocent people died in this incident. Houses have been destroyed. This incident is an aggression against a sovereign state. India fully respects the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Afghanistan.
Last Friday, Pakistan again attacked several provinces including Kabul, Kandahar. Taliban government spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid claimed that innocent citizens were selectively targeted. Many people died in the incident. On the other hand, Islamabad claims that the main aim of the airstrikes was to eliminate the militants. The Taliban government has long hosted many militant groups. Those terrorists are bleeding Pakistan again and again. This operation was carried out to eliminate them. However, the Taliban rejected this demand of Islamabad. Also, they warn of backlash.
Then on Saturday, Kabul kept that ‘promise’. Taliban responded to Pak attack. They retaliated by targeting Pakistani army bases on the Durand Line. The Afghan Ministry of Defense said that 14 Pakistani soldiers were killed in the incident. 11 others were injured. An army tank and a foreign vehicle were reportedly completely destroyed.
