National Highway travel will become expensive from April 1, FASTag Annual Pass will increase by Rs.

The annual fee of Fastag is going to increase by 2.5 percent i.e. Rs 75. The Road Transport Ministry has issued a notification regarding FASTag Annual Pass.

Fastag annual pass used for private vehicles is going to be expensive, now the annual fee of Fastag is going to increase by 2.5 percent i.e. Rs 75. With this increase, the new charge will now increase from Rs 3000 to Rs 3075. Officials said that when the Road Transport Ministry had issued the notification regarding FASTag Annual Pass, the rule of changing its price every year was also mentioned.

Recharge will be done at low price this month

Transport Department officials have said that “This increase has been made according to the formula of change in the prices of highway toll across the country, which happens every year. Those who get recharged this month, they can buy it for Rs 3000.” However, those who will buy Fastag annual pass from April 1, they will have to pay an increase of Rs 75 to Rs 3075.

52 lakh people affected

This decision of the Road Transport Ministry will affect 52 lakh people. But it is a matter of relief that its fees have been increased marginally by 2.5 percent. Fastag annual passes are sold only on the Highway Yatra App or the official website of NHAI/MoRTH. FASTag Annual Pass is activated within two hours of payment, for confirmation of which an SMS is also sent to your registered mobile number.

Annual pass valid for 200 trips

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways had launched the annual pass of Fastag on August 15 last year. Fastag Annual Pass is valid for one year or 200 trips (whichever is earlier) from the date of issue.
