Albie Morkel holds the record for longest sixes in IPL history. In 2008, former South African all-rounder Morkel hit a 125m six for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) against Deccan Chargers in his first season. Morkel is followed by former Indian bowler Praveen Kumar. In an IPL match between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Kings XI Punjab in 2013, Praveen stunned everyone by hitting a powerful 124m six. He was part of the Punjab team. In 2011, former Australian wicketkeeper-batsman Adam Gilchrist hit a 112m six for Kings XI Punjab against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

Former Indian wicketkeeper Robin Uthappa hit his 120th six against MI in 2010. He was with RCB then. Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh is ranked seventh in the list. He hit a 119m six against CSK in IPL 2009. At that time he was part of Kings XI Punjab. Gautam Gambhir is ranked eighth in the list. He hit a 117m six for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in IPL 2013. Gambhir is currently the head coach of the Indian team.
