  • 2 cups gram flour
  • 1 cup flour
  • 5 cups ghee
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups for frying

  • To make gram flour petha, first put flour and gram flour in a bowl and mix well.
  • Then add half cup of ghee in it and mix well with the help of hands.
  • Now knead the mixture of flour and gram flour with lukewarm water. Keep in mind that the dough should neither be too hard nor too soft.
  • After kneading the dough, wet a muslin cloth and cover the dough.
  • After half an hour, make round balls from the kneaded dough.
  • Then prepare petha in long shapes from these balls.
  • After this, heat a pan on the gas. Then add ghee in it.
  • When the ghee becomes hot, add all the pethas one by one and fry them.
  • Now put water and sugar in a pan and prepare one string syrup from it.
  • When all the pethas are fried, coat all the pethas in the prepared syrup.
  • Rajasthan’s famous gram flour petha is ready. Serve hot petha to the guests.

  • While making gram flour petha, do not add too much flour. Otherwise the petha will break while frying.
  • After preparing the syrup for petha, mix the syrup with a spoon. Then coat the petha in it.

  • If you want more taste of gram flour in gram flour petha, then reduce the use of flour while kneading the dough.
