Food delivery giant Zomato has quietly rolled out a new protein-focused cloud kitchen branded ‘Ritual’, offering a range of high-protein beverages and health-focused meal options.
The ‘Ritual’ listing is currently live on the Zomato app but appears to be limited to Gurugram at the moment. The service has not yet fully rolled out in other parts of Delhi NCR. Inc42 was able to place an order from Ritual in Gurugram, but availability of the service is limited even in the city.
Questions sent to Zomato didn’t elicit any response at the time of publishing.
A look at the menu for Ritual shows a strong focus on protein-based drinks, with categories such as plant protein shakes, whey protein shakes, yeast protein shakes, and protein milkshakes, along with hot and iced coffee options. Customers can also choose from multiple flavours and protein bases, including plant and whey.
Many of these products feature protein manufactured by D2C brands Wellbeing Nutrition, The Whole Truth, and SuperYou.
In addition to beverages, the menu also features salads, suggesting the concept is aimed at fitness and health-conscious consumers looking for protein-rich meals. While Zomato has not yet shared details about the initiative, the current listing suggests the company may be testing a specialised nutrition-focused food vertical on its platform.

Other sources added that Zomato has launched the brand in association with Massive Restaurants, which operates large format restaurants and cloud kitchens such as Bo Tai, Farzi Cafe, Louis Burger, among others.
Insiders at Zomato also added that the company is designing the menu and recipes for the protein-focused offerings, with Massive Restaurants handling the operations. For instance, the Ritual brand is listed under Massive Restaurants’ FSSAI licence.
The move comes as Zomato faces intensifying competition from Swiggy in the food delivery space, especially in the key mass-premium health food segment. Earlier in January, Swiggy entered the healthy food space with the launch of EatRight, a dedicated category targeting health-conscious users across more than 50 cities by offering curated dishes from restaurants.
On the financial front, Eternal reported a 73% year-on-year jump in consolidated net profit to ₹102 Cr for the quarter ended December 31, 2025, compared to ₹59 Cr in the year-ago period.

Meanwhile, in a fresh move to bolster its quick commerce ambitions, Eternal has infused ₹450 Cr into Blinkitas competition in the 10-minute delivery space continues to heat up.
