‘Eat tea and pakodas at the door of Parliament,’ Amit Shah angry at Rahul Gandhi

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has raised questions about the behavior of Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi in Parliament House. He has expressed his displeasure on Rahul Gandhi for eating tea and pakodas in the Parliament complex. He has said that this is an act that hurts the dignity of Parliament, the highest institution of democracy. Union Home Minister Amit Shah was addressing an election rally in Guwahati.

Amit Shah has said that Rahul Gandhi sometimes eats tea and pakodas while sitting at the door of Parliament. He asked whether he did not realize that Parliament was not a proper place to have breakfast. The Home Minister called it two steps ahead of the protest. He said that such protest is not democratic, it is tarnishing the image of India.

Amit Shah has said that no one in the country will support this kind of working style. Taking a jibe at the opposition, Amit Shah said that they oppose the government as much as they want, but they do not speak in Parliament, they run away.

Sometimes he sits at the door of Parliament and eats tea and pakodas. Don’t they realize which is the right place to have breakfast? Parliament is the biggest institution of our democracy. Sitting there and protesting is also not a democratic way. You have even gone two steps ahead of the protest. You are eating tea and pakodas. This is defaming India all over the world.

‘Nobody in the country will support these activities’

Amit Shah said, ‘I don’t think anyone in the country will support such actions. The opposition is against us. Oppose us. Protest as much as you want. You do not speak in Parliament. You run away. Where people from all over the world have come to see the strength of India, to see the potential of India’s youth, you are reducing their possibilities. The people of India will not forgive you.
