ReserveGo, a B2B table reservation platform founded by inResto cofounder Vijayan Parthasarathy, has been acquired by Dubai-based restaurant reservation platform Eat App to expand its footprint in India.
With this acquisition, Eat App said it is looking to expand its product portfolio and strengthen presence in new markets while accelerating its roadmap for advanced, data-driven restaurant management.
The company has acquired ReserveGo’s technology, customer base, and team, it said in a statement. However, the financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Eat App, founded by Nezar Kadhem and David Feuillard in 2015, offers cloud-based applications to restaurants for real-time reservations, automation, guest data management, and customer relationship management.
Along with acquisition, Eat App also announced the closure of its Series B funding round at $10 Mn. Besides, it announced a partnership with foodtech giant Swiggy, marking its foray into the Indian subcontinent.
“By combining Swiggy’s extensive restaurant ecosystem with Eat App’s leading reservation and guest management platform, the partnership empowers restaurants across India with access to world-class reservation technology, automation tools, and AI-driven guest experience capabilities,” Eat App said.
ReserveGo, incorporated in 2022, offers table management software that helps restaurants manage seating and improve the guest experience.
“For ReserveGo customers, there will be no operational changes; service and support continue as usual. This partnership simply provides a deeper R&D pipeline and access to Eat App’s global infrastructure,” it said in a separate statement.
Prior to founding ReserveGo, Parthasarathy incorporated inResto, a restaurant technology platform, in 2014. It was acquired in 2015 by table reservation platform Dineoutwhich eventually became part of Swiggy.
Digital table reservations caught the attention between 2015 to 2020, after food delivery platforms Zomato and Swiggy started offering table booking services. In 2024, Eternal unveiled a separate platform called District to facilitate B2C bookings for restaurants, events, and activities.
