Iran’s Supreme Leader’s representative, Abdul Majid Hakim, warned the US, saying, “We are ready to give blood, but not land.”

New Delhi. Amidst the escalating conflict in West Asia, Iran has made it clear that it is not ready for any kind of talks with the US at the moment. Abdul Majid Hakim Elahi, the representative of Iran’s Supreme Leader in India, said that in the current situation, there is no question of talks and if the situation remains the same, Iran is ready to face a long war. In an interview given to ANI, Elahi said that even today, anger and resistance are visible among the people on the streets of Iran. People are openly saying that they are ready to make any sacrifice to protect their country, they are saying that they will give blood, but will not give up their land.

He said that it is difficult to predict how long the conflict will last, but Iran is determined to fight to the end, even if it continues for many years. Iran has experience in long wars. He recalled that the country has endured the eight-year war between Iran and Iraq.

“We are not in favor of negotiations.”
Elahi also rejected former US President Donald Trump’s statement that Tehran wanted talks. He said that Iran is not interested in any negotiations at this time, as the conflict began after US action. He also noted that in the past, such situations have arisen twice when negotiations were underway and attacks on Iran were carried out.

We will not bow to our opponents.
According to Elahi, Iran is not a country that will succumb to pressure from its adversaries. He stated that if the situation persists, Iran has the capacity to continue the conflict for a long time. He also reiterated that the country has experienced long wars in the past, and therefore has the experience to deal with the current situation.

He said that the current crisis is not limited to Iran, but is affecting the entire world. Fluctuations in energy prices and instability in international markets are examples of this. The conflict is also affecting the supply of gas, petrol, and oil .

Iran has tried to avoid conflict before.
Elahi said that Iran never wanted war in the region from the beginning. He added that Tehran had repeatedly appealed to neighboring countries to work together to prevent the situation from escalating. He said that the Middle East has already been ravaged by numerous conflicts and the region cannot bear the burden of another major war.

Elahi also appealed
to the world community to pressure the US to prevent the situation from worsening. He said that Iran takes no pleasure in the suffering of others, but is compelled to defend its independence, honor, and security.

The conflict began in late February.
The current conflict in West Asia began on February 28th. Since then, tensions have steadily escalated between the United States and Israel, on the one hand, and Iran, on the other. The situation became even more serious after the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in a joint US-Israeli military operation.
