Terrible explosion in Datia stone crusher: Two workers seriously injured due to gunpowder blast.
A massive explosion took place on Sunday afternoon in a stone crusher unit located in Nargarh village of Unav police station area in Datia district of Madhya Pradesh. Two laborers were badly burnt due to the blast of gunpowder kept for blasting, whose condition remains critical.
The injured include Baburam, resident of Jaipur, Rajasthan and Gabbar Kushwaha, resident of Lalitpur, Uttar Pradesh. After first aid at the local hospital, both were sent to Jhansi Medical College. Eyewitness accounts reveal that there was a sudden explosion in a room of the crusher complex, causing chaos.
Police investigation revealed that the responsibility of blasting was with Dharamveer Gurjar of Morena, who had stored the gunpowder in the room. The purpose of the workers going into the room is not yet clear.
A thorough investigation is underway to determine whether the gunpowder was legal or procured illegally. Interrogation is going on with the crusher owner and the villagers.
The special thing is that this mine was closed for a long time, the royalty had also stopped. It was restarted just a week ago. The police is investigating the entire accident closely, so that action can be taken against the culprits.
