Iran fired Sejil ballistic missile at Israel for the first time, said- did not offer ceasefire to America

Tehran. Today is the 17th day of the America-Israel-Iran war. On Sunday, for the first time in this war, Iran attacked Israel with ‘Sejil ballistic missile’. This information was given by Tasnim, the news agency of Iran Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC). Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said yesterday that Iran has neither demanded a ceasefire nor offered talks with the US. Iran will continue to defend itself as long as necessary.

The IRGC said that Israel’s military and defense facilities were targeted through Sejil. This missile can attack up to 2000-2500 kilometers. This is the first time that Sejal missiles have been used since the US-Israeli offensive began on February 28. According to the IRGC Public Relations Office, other missiles were also used during the attack. The 28 February attacks targeted military and civilian targets throughout Iran. This resulted in huge loss of life and property and extensive damage to infrastructure. In response, the Iranian armed forces launched a war.

At the same time, in an interview given to American news channel CBS News yesterday, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that Iran has neither demanded a ceasefire nor tried to negotiate with America. Iran will continue to defend itself as long as necessary. He said that Iran is not going to back down in this conflict. US President Donald Trump will have to accept that this war is not justified. Until he accepts, Iran will continue to respond.

Araghchi said that after the American attacks, the country’s nuclear material is buried underground. He said that perhaps this material could be extracted in the future, but right now it is inaccessible. Iran currently has no plans to withdraw it. Araghchi said that before the recent escalation of tensions, Iran had previously been prepared to reduce its stockpile of highly enriched material during talks with the US.
