11th edition of T20 World Cup
The 2028 tournament will be the 11th edition of the famous T20 World Cup organized by the International Cricket Council.
Australia will host the Men’s T20 World Cup for the second time after the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022.
For New Zealand, this will be the first time it hosts the Men’s T20 World Cup

The format of the 2028 T20 World Cup will remain the same as the 2026 edition.
1. Group Stage
20 teams will be divided into four groups of five teams each.
2. Super 8
The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super 8 stage.
3. Knockout Stage
The best four teams of Super 8 will play in the semi-finals, after which there will be a final to decide the world champion.
