Tragic accident on Lucknow-Delhi highway: Car collides with tractor-trolley, 4 youths from Nainital die
Moradabad. Four youths died tragically in a horrific road accident on the Lucknow-Delhi National Highway on Monday morning, while one youth was seriously injured. The accident took place near Mankara turn of Mundhapande police station area, when a speeding car coming from Rampur rammed into a tractor-trolley laden with bricks moving ahead from behind.
The collision was so severe that the car was blown apart and the people inside it got trapped inside. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and after a lot of effort, took out the people trapped in the car and took everyone to Mundhapande CHC.
Doctors declared four of the five youths in the car dead, while one youth was found seriously injured. The injured were referred to the district hospital after first aid.
According to CO Highway Rajesh Kumar, Dayal Rawat, resident of Veemila Compound, Paliwal, Nainital, Anil Negi (38), Sundar Saini (42) and Bhuvan Bhandari (37), resident of Haldwani, died in the accident. Car driver Yashdeep Pandey, resident of Haldwani, is seriously injured and is undergoing treatment. After the accident, the tractor-trolley driver fled from the spot. The police is busy searching for him and the matter is being investigated.
