India Two-Wheeler Sales 2026: India has emerged as the world’s largest two-wheeler market, where new records are being set in bike and scooter sales every month. The figures for February 2026 also tell the same story. Last month, a total of 1,871,406 two-wheelers were shipped across the country, showing a healthy year-on-year growth of 35.2% as compared to 1,384,605 ​​units sold in February 2025.

According to automotive sector experts, the Goods and Services Tax (GST) on bikes with engine capacity of 350cc or less was recently reduced from 28% to 18%. After this decision, the market demand for bikes has increased rapidly, and companies have seen a huge jump in their sales.

Hero MotoCorp remained at the forefront

Hero MotoCorp, the country’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, once again topped the market in February 2026. The company sold 516,968 units last month. Compared to the previous year, the company had sold 357,296 units in February 2025. This represents an impressive year-on-year growth of approximately 44% in the company’s sales.

Honda also remained very close

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India secured the second position. In February 2026, the company gained 513,217 new customers. Last year, in February 2025, Honda’s sales stood at 383,918 units. Thus, the company recorded an impressive growth of 33.7% in sales, which proves its strong hold in the market.

TVS also showed strength

TVS Motor Company stood at third position. The company sold 365,471 units in February 2026, while the number was 276,072 units in February 2025. This represents an increase of 32.4% in the company’s sales.

Bajaj Auto at fourth place

Bajaj Auto stood at fourth position. The company sold 186,164 two-wheeler units in February 2026. This figure represents an increase of 27.4% compared to 146,138 units sold in February 2025.

Suzuki also included in top 5

Japanese manufacturer, Suzuki Motorcycle India performed brilliantly and made its place among the top five companies. The company sold 101,071 units in February 2026, which is more than 73,215 units sold in February 2025. This represents an increase of approximately 38% in the company’s sales.

Sales of other companies also remained strong

Apart from the top five companies, many other manufacturers also performed well. The sales figures for February 2026 were as follows: Royal Enfield sold 91,248 units; Yamaha Motor India sold 67,072 units, Ather Energy sold 26,467 units, Piaggio India sold 3,009 units; Kawasaki sold 565 units; And Triumph Motorcycles sold 154 units.
