Pretty Lethal to stream on Prime Video in just over a week

Pretty Lethal will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. The streaming service announced the date last month with the official trailer.

Vicky Jewson helmed the film with a script by Kate Freund. It stars Uma Thurman as Devora Kasimer, Iris Apatow as Zoe, Lana Condor as Princess, Millicent Simmonds as Chloe, Avantika as Grace, and Maddie Ziegler as Bones, among others.

The story centers around five young ballerinas and their coach as they travel to a prestigious ballet competition in Budapest. During their journey, their bus breaks down in the middle of a forest. It forces them to seek shelter at a nearby inn run by Devora, a former ballerina herself. However, after a violent incident, Devora and her mobs hunt down the group as they try to escape the place.

As seen in the trailer, the film features intense, gory action as the ballerinas use their training as weapons to save themselves from the army of armed mobs. It also hints at comedy while showcasing the tension within the group.

The film was originally titled Ballerina Overdrive with Game of Thrones’ Lena Headey in it at one point, per Deadline. The filmmakers eventually renamed the film Pretty Lethal. It premiered at the 2026 SXSW Festival on March 13. Following the early screening, the film currently has a 75% approval rating from 12 critics on Rotten Tomatoes.

The film is co-produced under 87North Productions, the studio behind Bullet Train, Nobody, Violent Night, and The Fall Guy. Amazon MGM Studios is handling the worldwide distribution through Prime Video.
